8-channel PID controller for KS 800 bus

KS 800 - 8 channels PID CONTROLLER FOR BUS

KS800 - microprocessor, 8-channel multi-zone universal controller for DIN rail. It is designed specifically for temperature control systems in the plastics industry.

Eight independent control loops can work in different configurations. Apart from universal measurement inputs, KS 800 also has configurable logic inputs and a number of configurable logic outputs (option with continuous outputs). The controller does not have a display and operator panel - configuration and monitoring via a service link on a PC computer with BlueControl software or through communication links - to choose from RS422 with the ISO1745 protocol, Profibus-DP, Device-Net, CANopen. It is also possible to connect the KS 800 controller to the P-Open system or the BT800 operator terminal (up to five regulators per one panel - the required CANopen connection).


Basic technical data of KS800:

  • eight independent control loops (signaling, positioning, DPID control continuous, two- and three-position (with cooling algorithm), step, cascade - all with self-tuning function and start-up option (initial heating with reduced power)
  • universal, configurable measurement input: L, J, K, N, S, R type thermocouple (measurement error = 2K), Pt100 (measurement error = 2K), resistance input 0 ... 400 ohms, voltage input -100mV. ..100mV (measurement error = 0.1%) with state monitoring (open circuit, polarity)
  • analogue input for monitoring current drawn by 0 ... 42mA AC actuators (with break or overload monitoring)
  • six optoisolated logic inputs 24VDC - configurable functions, four inputs can be configured as control loop outputs
  • fifteen (plus four additional configured inputs) logic outputs 18 ... 30VDC, max. current 70mA, short-circuit proof - configurable functions (including controller outputs, alarms, threshold crossing, etc.)
  • optionally eight continuous outputs 0/4 ... 20mA or 0 ... 10V
  • LED diodes signaling the operating status and status of outputs
  • 3 configurable alarm outputs
  • housing: IP20, mounted on a 35mm DIN rail
  • working temperature from 0 to + 60C, humidity = 75%
  • 8-channel regulator with universal opto-isolated measuring inputs,
  • most types of regulators available, including cascade and step controller, and heating-cooling control
  • 24VDC 5W power supply
  • use in plastic processing machines
  • available versions with analogue control outputs
  • heating current measurement for each control loop
  • work auto / manual
  • 4 configurable control inputs / outputs
  • RS422 / 485 communication, CAN / CAN open, ProfiBus-DP
  • the controller can be configured using a utility program or BT 800
  • possible expansion of the control system with additional KS 800 modules or other automation modules (eg discrete I / O modules)
  • the ability to connect to SS800-based ready power systems based on SSRs
